Because I like copywriting and formulating marketing pitches as well as Design, the following mocks represent 2 potential directions of a mock ad for Travel Noire— a company that curates trips and provides resources for the unconventional traveler.
First option= "EXPERIENCE IT."
Play up the brand! These aren't just tourist-y trips, these are one-of-a-kind experiences. They are rich, vibrant, invigorating soul-soothing adventures, and a campaign that embodies that visually would run like so:
• Perhaps a series of web ads or social media blasts are pushed forth individually, each with the same simple configuration: A witty typographically solid phrase that hits one of the core messages of the brand, overlaid on top of 1 stunning background image. TN logo is reinforced below, along with a call-to-action button that poetically drives the enticement home. i.e., “Renew my Soul Now” .
• The campaign would commence with a synopsis image of sorts—Think deconstructed infographic, for the folks who sometimes needs the facts highlighted in their face first before they sit down to read more details later. This could be an animated .gif whereas factoids/numerals pop up, all building to the primary fact: 1 amazing life opportunity. This could be delivered via social media as well as a splash or feature webpage, that’s interactive/with rollover pop-ups, etc.
Second option= FIND YOURSELF.
This one is a cheeky play on the idea of connecting, finding yourself, and envisioning/visualizing an authentic life. Here, we take current or past photography from TN experiences, and overlay or clone in a “cut-out” effect. We tease the audience with questions, literally asking them if they can “see themselves” there. We close with the support from TN— affirming that WE can see them there, and it’s basically time for them to connect to a carefree YOU. ;)
